Demonstrations and Projects: Annual Twilight Tour

Twilight tourThe Annual Twilight Tour is an event that started in 1998. Hosted by the Benton County Chapter of the Oregon Small Woodlands Association (OSWA) the tours focus on planning and implementation of forest management activities on the Cameron Tract that are relevant to private and family forest owners. Each year participation on the tour has increased, with over 50 participants attending the 2002 tour. Traditionally, the tour begins with a brown bag dinner supplemented with refreshments provided by OSWA. After the meal, participants gather for a stroll through the property to discuss current and future management actions. The highlights of the 2002 tour revolved around the newly completed and innovative road building design for the North Cameron Road as well as the various selective harvest prescriptions that were implemented during the summer and fall of 2002.
